Entrepreneurship Boot Camp

Two days workshop on "Entrepreneurship Boot camp" was organised by SSIP cell during 27-28 September, 2018 at Government Engineering College, Bharuch, Gujarat. Mr. Nitin Tailor, Founder & CEO of Serve Happiness organisation conducted the workshop. Around 100 students participated in the workshop & obtained certificate for participation.

The students in waiting list (who are currently not selected for workshop) can come at above venue on 27-9-18, 10.30 AM. If selected students are not registering at the registration desk at workshop,  students from waiting list will be selected.

If selected students who wants to withdraw their name from workshop, they can inform Prof. D. R. Dobariya or Prof. A. M. Shah before 25/9/18.

Entrepreneurship Boot Camp Workshop

SSIP, GEC-Bharuch cell is organizing a two days workshop on "Entrepreneurship Boot Camp"  on 27-9-18 and 28-9-18 for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year GEC-Bharuch students. The maximum number of students seats is 100. Last date for registration is 20-9-18. The selection of students will be first come first serve basis.

Workshop Outcome:
Students will understand basics of Social Entrepreneurship. They will be trained in how to generate
ideas, deepen existing ideas and in general improve creative thinking skills. This will help students to think of new ideas as well as to refine and expand existing ideas. Students will learn techniques in
which how right brain thinkers generate new ideas. This workshop would help them to understand how to make business model canvas of an idea and how to make enterprise out of that model.

An expert talk on Students Sensitization for SSIP is organized on 2/8/18, Thursday, 12:00 to 1:30 PM at Room 4111, Block 4, Electrical Dept., GEC, Bharuch. All students & faculties are requested to be present for the same.

Registration for DTE Hackathon 2018

Education Ministry, Govt. of Gujarat has initiated series of interventions to harness creative potential of 14 lacs students across 60 plus universities and extending all possible support for their innovations and start-ups. Students are capable to become the country’s largest force of problem solvers and eventually become job creators. To orient students towards problem-solving, the Education Department had organized "Smart Gujarat for New India Hackathon 2017-18". Recently, Summer Innovation Challenge 2018 (SIC 2018) on the theme of “WATER” has been launched by Education Department.

Along the lines of these interventions, the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Gujarat has announced “DTE Hackathon”. As a part of this initiative, altogether 20 problem statements have been identified within DTE. It is desirable that students and faculties together    participate in  the team and across the state, they are encouraged to register themselves and submit their Proof-of-Concept (PoC) or potential solution for the listed problems, on the given link before 6th August 2018.

The student and faculty teams, who are bringing the best ideas/solutions for the listed problems will be encouraged with awards.

SSIP Innovator registration for phase-3

Dear students

The Startup India Initiative of the Government of India was launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister in January, 2016. The initiative envisions building a strong ecosystem for nurturing innovations and Entrepreneurship in the Country.

            To take this Movement to the Next level Education Department, Government of Gujarat has launched Student Startup & Innovation Policy (SSIP). The Student Startup & Innovation Policy of Government of Gujarat aims to create an integrated, state-wide, university-based innovation ecosystem to support innovations and ideas of young students and provide a conducive environment for optimum harnessing of their creative pursuit.

            To build Environment and to provide Support for the Startups and Innovations, the Education Department has organized various programs in the past to provide platform for exposure and hand holding and interaction through SSIP.

All BE Institutes are  hereby informed  that kindly inform all  students  who  has  participated  in  the  Hackathon  and  going  to  attend  Event  on  16/05/2018  and  wants  to attend  Startup Meet  2018 on  17/05/2018  that  if  there  is  any  clash  with  GTU  practical external exams  with their  institute  schedule,  these  students  can  apply  for  practical  exam  center  change  with  other  institute schedule which is uploaded on GTU website.

Apply for SSIP GEC Bharuch (phase-II)

SSIP GEC Bharuch which comes under Gujarat technological university is located in Bharuch. SSIP GEC Bharuch co-working space is a many seater working space entrepreneurs and innovators offering basic office facilities along side other pre-incubation and incubation support such as mentorship, investment resources, etc.

To get incubated at SSIP GEC Bharuch , startups / innovators / ideas / final year projects are requested to fill the following form. We typically reply to shortlisted application queries with 15 (fifteen) working days; and are unable to reply to rejected applications:

NOTE:
students who applied for earlier (phase-I) for startups / innovators / ideas / final year projects but not successful for SSIP benefits can also apply in phase-II provided that they must have done some concrete progress since earlier applications.
